Jardin de l'Hospice Debrousse

The Jardin de l'Hospice Debrousse features a prominent, circular brick rotunda topped with a sharp, pointed roof. This structure served as the chapel for a nineteenth-century children's hospital founded by Doctor Antonin Debrousse. After his daughter died young, Debrousse donated his fortune to care for orphans and sick children from the neighborhood. While the hospital wards have since been converted into private apartments, the chapel remains as the central anchor of the garden, surrounded by terraced lawns where children once played.
