LA BOUCLE VERTE / L'Arbre à radiateurs

park garden

The structure you see before you, known as the radiator tree, stands as a piece of functional art created through the Boucle Verte project. It consists of a vertical arrangement of vintage cast-iron radiator parts, repurposed to serve as a unique and unconventional planter for local vegetation. This installation was born from a desire to bring greenery into the dense urban environment of Le Pré-Saint-Gervais using only reclaimed materials. The radiators themselves have a past life, having been salvaged from the decommissioned Saint-Vincent-de-Paul hospital in Paris. Along with a repurposed industrial expansion tank and local street furniture, the piece reflects a commitment to both environmental sustainability and the creative reuse of discarded metal.
