La Nef - Manufacture d'utopies

cultural

The Eglise Saint-Germain in Pantin features a stone facade with a high, central bell tower that dominates the skyline, but its current use creates a sharp contrast. Inside this nineteenth-century neo-Gothic structure, La Nef operates as a creative workspace and cultural venue. A local collective stripped out the pews to make room for artist studios and performance areas. They kept the vaulted ceilings and original stained glass to house contemporary theater rehearsals and local community projects, turning a former parish into a production hub.
