The Magasins généraux in Pantin stands as a massive concrete monolith stretching along the Canal de l'Ourcq. Built in nineteen thirty-two, this warehouse served as a vital storage hub for goods arriving by barge before they moved into Paris. The architect, Gaston Castel, designed the structure to be functional and durable, using a reinforced concrete frame. Decades later, the advertising agency BETC converted the space into their headquarters, transforming the industrial relic into a workspace for thousands of creative professionals.
