Accra General Post Office

The Accra General Post Office is a massive concrete block dominated by a long, horizontal grid of narrow, recessed windows that stretch across its facade. Built in the nineteen seventies, this structure replaced the smaller colonial-era facility that served the city for decades. It functioned as the central nervous system for Ghana’s mail and telegraph services during the transition to a digital age. Today, the building serves as the national headquarters for Ghana Post, housing administrative offices and the primary sorting facility for the capital.
