Colibrí is identified by the hand-painted, multicolored hummingbird mural that stretches across its unassuming stone facade. This workspace and shop exists to support a collective of local artisans who preserve traditional backstrap weaving techniques. Decades ago, the building functioned as a private residence before the nonprofit organization transformed the space into a hub for community trade. Inside, the rhythmic clack of wooden looms echoes against the thick walls, where weavers spend their days turning raw cotton into intricate, patterned textiles.
