Jor Bagh Park

Jor Bagh Park is marked by a massive, weathered dome of a seventeenth-century tomb, the Najaf Khan, sitting right at its northern edge. While the rest of the green space offers a quiet canopy of jamun and neem trees for morning walkers, the structure sits in ruins. It was meant to be the final resting place for the commander of the Mughal army, but the brickwork stopped mid-construction. The building remains a shell, exposed to the elements, containing only a simple grave.
