"Letters to Lodhi" by YOK and SHERYO

other

The mural Letters to Lodhi features two towering, stylized figures painted in bold, saturated blues and oranges against the stark exterior of a government housing block. Artists YOK and SHERYO created this piece during the first public art festival in the city, covering the plain walls of Lodhi Colony in layers of street art. They based the design on the long history of hand-written mail once processed at the nearby post office, visualizing messages floating between people who lived here decades ago.
