The Zubin Mehta mural in Lodhi Colony towers over the street, painted in vibrant shades of blue and gold. It shows the conductor mid-motion, baton raised, capturing the intensity of his decades leading the Israel Philharmonic. Artists from the St+art India Foundation painted this tribute to commemorate Mehta’s deep connection to the city where he was born. He once described the sound of his orchestra as an extension of his own pulse, a feeling now permanently etched onto the facade of this residential block.
