CSI St. Mark's Cathedral

The limestone facade of St. Mark’s Cathedral mimics the architecture of eighteenth-century London churches, standing out against the modern sprawl of Bengaluru. It was built in eighteen oh eight to serve as the garrison church for the East India Company. During the construction of the roof, a major structural flaw forced the builders to dismantle and rebuild the entire upper section. The cathedral still holds the original communion silver donated by the chaplain in the early nineteenth century.
