Koshy's

The low, weathered facade of Koshy's sits under a simple sign, distinguishable from the modern glass storefronts nearby by its peeling paint and rows of ceiling fans that have spun for decades. It began as a bakery run by a British officer in the nineteen forties before Prem Koshy turned it into the city's most famous meeting ground. Politicians, poets, and students hold court here over plates of mutton stew and cold coffee, often occupying the same scarred wooden tables for hours.
