Salon de AManTo

A narrow, three-story wooden building stands out for its weathered facade and the cascading greenery clinging to its exterior. This structure survived the firebombing of Osaka during the second world war, an event that leveled most of the surrounding neighborhood. Eizo and Michiko Tani converted the residence into a salon and gallery space in the late nineteen nineties. They kept the original floorboards and layout, leaving the marks of decades of life visible on the walls and the worn timber stairs.
