Irorimura Gallery sits inside a pair of converted shipping containers painted a bright, distinctive yellow. It serves as a creative hub in the Kita district, housing both a small exhibition space and a shop dedicated to unique handmade goods. The structure grew out of a desire to provide local artists with an accessible place to showcase their work outside of traditional, formal institutions. It occupies the footprint of what was once a quiet urban lot, now packed with rotating contemporary art projects.
