The facade of Cafe X is painted a deep, matte blue that stands out against the pale, limestone buildings lining the street. This space functioned as a telegraph office in the nineteen twenties before a local family turned the ground floor into a coffee house. They kept the original brass mail slots built into the entrance, which are still visible if you get near the door. Many of the messages sent from this desk reached the far corners of Mexico decades ago.
