Bet Yaakov Sinagogu

The Bet Yaakov Synagogue sits behind a heavy iron gate, distinguished by a wide, arched entrance and a facade painted in a soft, weathered yellow. Built in eighteen seventy-eight, it serves the Jewish community that has called the shores of the Bosphorus home for centuries. The congregation here once held elaborate ceremonies, but as families moved away, the daily prayer services dwindled. Today, the space remains open primarily for Shabbat services and weddings, kept alive by members who travel back from across the city.
