Ebury Edge Energy Garden, Pimlico

Ebury Edge sits on the site of a former nineteen fifties housing block that became notorious for criminal activity. In its place now stands a temporary, colorful timber structure designed to serve the community throughout the long process of the Ebury Bridge Estate redevelopment. The building is intentionally lightweight, constructed with minimal foundations so that every panel can eventually be dismantled and reassembled elsewhere once the long-term site construction finishes. A brightly illuminated tower marks the corner of the site, serving as a landmark intended to act as an invitation for neighbors to enter and use the space.
