15 Cheyne Walk

Fifteen Cheyne Walk, originally known as Carlton House, stands as a rare, remarkably intact survivor of early eighteenth-century architecture. Built in seventeen eighteen, this four-story red-brick residence maintains much of its original form, a rarity on a street where many neighbors have been rebuilt or significantly altered over the centuries. When it was first constructed, the house sat directly on the waterfront, allowing its early residents to step out of their front door and board a boat on the River Thames.
