Fishmongers' Hall

Fishmongers' Hall stands at the northern end of London Bridge as a commanding example of Greek Revival architecture. Its design features six massive ionic columns and a prominent pediment that overlooks the Thames. The current structure, completed in 1834, serves as the headquarters for the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers, one of the most powerful and historic livery companies in the City of London. The guild has maintained a presence on this specific riverside site since the fifteenth century, historically regulating the city's fish trade and ensuring the quality of its food supply.
