The former Swan and Edgar establishment in Marylebone was once famous as the smallest pub in London. Originally known as The Feathers, the site on Linhope Street was rebranded in honor of the legendary Piccadilly Circus department store that defined West End shopping for over a century. Its interior was a local curiosity, featuring walls lined with varnished books and floors tiled with reclaimed Scrabble pieces. The pub officially closed its doors in two thousand thirteen, and the building has since remained a quiet, boarded-up landmark in the neighborhood after various redevelopment plans were repeatedly rejected by local authorities.
