The building you are approaching was once the property of the luxury car manufacturer Rolls Royce. The Lithuanian government acquired this site in 2007, recognizing a need for a larger space to serve one of their most significant diplomatic outposts in the world. After a complete renovation, the embassy opened its doors here in 2011 to accommodate the massive community of Lithuanian citizens living and working across Britain. It is now colloquially known as the Lithuanian House, a name that honors the legacy of several earlier, now-closed cultural hubs that once supported the Lithuanian diaspora in London throughout the twentieth century.
