Saint Mark United Methodist Church of Atlanta

religious

The limestone facade of Saint Mark United Methodist Church features twin towers that climb toward the Midtown sky, capped by intricate, open-work spires. Completed in nineteen oh three, the building occupies the site where a smaller wooden structure once stood. When the congregation outgrew their old home, they hired architect Willis Fain Denny II to design this limestone sanctuary. He incorporated heavy stone carvings and stained glass, creating a space where the parish continues to gather for worship every Sunday morning.
