Albers Mill Building

The Albers Mill building stands as a heavy brick block along the Willamette River, marked by its oversized, white painted signage on the facade. Built in nineteen eleven, it functioned as the flagship flour mill for the Albers Brothers Milling Company. They once processed thousands of barrels of cereal and flour daily, shipping product across the Pacific. In nineteen thirty-three, a massive fire gutted the interior, but workers rebuilt the structure within months, cementing its reputation as a tireless industrial engine for Portland.
