Wieden+Kennedy

The Wieden and Kennedy building has a facade of jagged, rusted steel that looks like a fortress wall tucked into the Pearl District. Inside, the design firm carved out a massive indoor atrium that spans four floors, featuring a full basketball court where employees hold meetings or shoot hoops. Dan Wieden and David Kennedy started their agency in a basement in nineteen eighty-two, and when they moved here, they hired an architect to turn a cold, concrete warehouse into a playground for professional creatives.
