Justice and Police Museum

The Justice and Police Museum stands out for its curved, cream-colored facade and dark green timber balconies that loom over the corner of Albert and Phillip Streets. Built in eighteen fifty-six, this former water police court and station served as the front line of Sydney’s law and order for over a century. Behind these doors, police processed thousands of criminals, from petty thieves to notorious bushrangers, keeping meticulous records that remain tucked away inside the original wooden cabinets and filing drawers today.
