Suquet des Art(iste)s - Résidence d'artistes

landmark

The Suquet des Artistes is a former chapel with walls of rough, exposed stone and a heavy wooden door that marks the top of a winding path. In the nineteenth century, this building served as a morgue for the local hospital, where the cooling stone kept bodies until burial. Today, it functions as a studio space for artists to live and work. A metal sign above the entrance displays the name in bold letters, signaling its current life among the quiet alleys.
