Mur Peint - Le caméraman

The side of this building holds a massive mural of a cameraman perched precariously on a crane, his heavy equipment aimed toward the street. It belongs to a collection of murals across Cannes celebrating the city's lifelong obsession with cinema. When the artists painted this in two thousand two, they included a clever detail. They aligned the painted camera with the actual angles of the neighborhood, making it seem as if the technician is filming the real life passing by on the sidewalk below.
