A vibrant collection of hand-thrown stoneware fills the shelves of Soe Ceramic, marked by the distinctive, earthy textures of locally sourced clay. This workshop operates as a rare holdout of traditional craft within the dense, tourist-heavy center of the old town. A few years ago, the potter began experimenting with minerals harvested from the surrounding Alpine mountains, intentionally incorporating sediment from the lakebed into her glazes to bind the physical landscape of Haute-Savoie directly into the functional vessels sold on the counter.
