Parc Canin des Impressionnistes

The ground beneath your feet holds a strange and heavy history, as this park sits on the site of a nineteenth century industrial hub. Before it became a green space for city residents and their pets, this land was elevated with massive amounts of earth and debris excavated during the construction of the Eiffel Tower. This man-made plateau was originally established to support a sprawling gasworks complex, complete with enormous gazometers that defined the local skyline for decades until they were finally dismantled in the mid-sixties.
