Parc Clichy-Batignolles - Martin Luther King

landmark

The Parc Clichy-Batignolles features a sprawling, undulating landscape dominated by a massive, central pond that collects rainwater from the surrounding eco-district. Before this park opened in two thousand seven, the site served as a gritty industrial rail yard linked to the Gare Saint-Lazare. When the trains stopped running, city planners turned the tracks into a landscape of meadows and playgrounds. Beneath the greenery, the earth holds high-tech systems that filter water and generate geothermal energy for the neighborhood houses.
