You are standing at the site of one of the most unusual theatrical spaces in France. The Théâtre du Voyageur is built directly into the active Asnières-sur-Seine train station. Instead of a traditional playhouse, the company performs in a space that once served as the station's passenger hall. This means that while audiences watch plays by Shakespeare or contemporary authors, the rhythm of commuters and passing trains remains a constant, pulsing backdrop to the performances.
