Square Marjolin

Square Marjolin sits on a plot of land that once belonged to a perfume manufacturer named Ernest Daltroff. He founded the famous Parfums Caron house and lived in a mansion here until the nineteen thirties. After the neighborhood grew dense with apartment blocks, the city bought the grounds to carve out a public garden. Today, a bronze bust of a local doctor, Achille Marjolin, stands near the entrance, looking out over the paths where Daltroff once grew flowers for his laboratory.
