Parc Roger Salengro

Parc Roger Salengro began as a private garden belonging to the widow of the famous French composer Leo Delibes. In 1895, she signed an agreement with the mayor of Clichy to lease portions of her property to the city, which allowed for the creation of a public space. When it first opened in 1897, the site was known as Parc Denain, named after the mother of the widow who had been a well-known actress at the Comedie Francaise.
