Parc Roger Salengro

Parc Roger Salengro is defined by the massive bronze sculpture of a bronze lion at its entrance, a tribute to the fierce resistance during the nineteenth century. Once the site of the vast Parc des Impressionnistes, this green space became a public garden in nineteen thirty-two to serve the growing industrial workforce of Clichy. During the Nazi occupation, the park served as a gathering point for local resistance fighters who met under the cover of the dense, mature chestnut trees.
