The Clichy Southern Cemetery serves as a final resting place with roots stretching back to the early nineteenth century. It was established in eighteen nineteen to replace the older burial ground that had surrounded the Saint Sauveur Saint Medard church. This site once served as the shared cemetery for both Clichy and its neighbor, Levallois Perret, until the two towns went their separate ways in eighteen seventy. Over the years, the cemetery expanded several times to accommodate the growing population of the area, eventually becoming the historical necropolis you see today.
