Place de Lévis

The Place de Lévis is a small, unassuming square in the seventeenth arrondissement that marks the site where the entrance to the historic Château de Monceau once stood. Created in eighteen fifty-three, this plaza served as the central hub for the old village of Monceau long before it was absorbed into the expanding urban fabric of Paris. While it now functions as a quiet neighborhood crossroads, it retains the footprint of the village life that defined this area for centuries.
