Parc de la Planchette

landmark

This park stands on what was once the sprawling private estate of Count Jean Berenger. He acquired this land, then a rural parcel known as La Planchette, back in eighteen hundred and six. At that time, it was far removed from the urban density you see today and contained the dependencies of an old castle. The family estate remained a grand private enclave for over a century before it was gradually broken up to make way for the expanding city of Levallois-Perret.
