The Jardin de Reuilly features a vast, circular lawn that drops several feet below the surrounding street level. It sits directly over the former tracks of the Vincennes railway line, which once carried commuters into the heart of the city. City planners repurposed this industrial scar in the nineteen eighties, peeling back the concrete to create a sunken green space. Today, the grass serves as an open amphitheater for neighbors, with the original railway embankment now supporting a raised pedestrian walkway above the park.
