Bourdelle Museum

The Bourdelle Museum is defined by the massive, bronze Hercules the Archer poised in its garden, muscle and bowstring tension frozen in metal. This site served as the studio and home for sculptor Antoine Bourdelle starting in eighteen eighty-five. He filled these workshops with thousands of plaster casts, sketches, and carvings, turning the space into a permanent archive of his process. His daughter later donated the property to the city of Paris, preserving the exact layout of his workspace for visitors.
