The Musée Bourdelle centers on a collection of colossal bronze sculptures inhabiting the former studios of Antoine Bourdelle. He moved into this corner of the fifteen arrondissement in eighteen eighty-five, spending the next forty-four years filling the workshops with clay models and finished works. When he died, he left behind over five hundred sculptures, leaving the site as a preserved record of his labor. Today, the rough, unpolished walls still hold the plaster casts of his most ambitious public commissions.
