Square Maurice Kriegel-Valrimont features a row of climbing roses along its perimeter fence and a small, functional playground set against the backdrop of Montmartre’s dense urban fabric. This garden bears the name of a resistance fighter who organized strikes against the German occupation during the Second World War. Before the city renamed this plot in twenty-fourteen, it existed simply as an unnamed green space. Today, the square serves as a quiet neighborhood corner where neighbors gather near the swings.
