Cathédrale de la Sainte-Trinité

Five golden onion domes rise above the Seine embankment, draped in traditional Russian Orthodox shapes that stand out against the limestone facades of the surrounding Haussmann architecture. This is the Cathédrale de la Sainte-Trinité, completed in twenty sixteen to serve the growing Russian community in Paris. Its most striking feature is the titanium covering on those domes, which shimmers with a soft, pearlescent glow. When the sunlight hits the metal just right, the gold leaf catches the light, reflecting the river back onto the street.
