Cirque Bormann-Moreno

The Cirque Bormann Moreno represents one of the final bastions of the traditional family-run circus in Paris. The operation is managed by seven generations of the Bormann and Moreno families, who have collectively maintained their craft for over two centuries. While the circus began its journey seventy years ago in the south of France and traveled across Africa and Corsica, it established a permanent base in Paris in the early nineteen eighties. The circus distinguishes itself by training its own performers from childhood, ensuring that the specific techniques and values of their heritage are passed directly from one generation to the next.
