The Jardin Anna Marly is an ambitious engineering feat that functions as a lid for the Périphérique, the busy ring road circling Paris. By covering a portion of the highway with a concrete slab, planners turned a noisy, divisive boundary into a green bridge that reconnects the city with the neighboring suburbs of Malakoff and Vanves.
