Fontaine aux Lions

The Fontaine aux Lions on Place Félix Éboué is a masterpiece of nineteenth-century urban design, crafted by the architect Gabriel Davioud. You will notice eight bronze lions, each sculpted by Henri-Alfred Jacquemart, positioned around the pools to give the structure its name. These lions were designed to spray water into the basin, creating a dynamic display that honors the aesthetic of the famous lion fountain found at the Alhambra in Granada.
