Hôtel Le Marois

The Hôtel Le Marois stands out with its ornate stone facade and the sculpted figures perched above the entrance on Avenue Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Count Le Marois commissioned this private mansion in the mid nineteenth century to display his immense wealth near the Champs Elysees. During the height of the Second Empire, he hosted lavish balls here that drew the Parisian elite. The building serves today as the headquarters for France Galop, the governing body for horse racing, which preserves its gilded interior rooms.
