The Théâtre du Rond-Point features a distinctive circular facade that stands out against the straight lines of the surrounding avenues. Originally built as a panorama hall in eighteen fifty-five, it allowed Parisians to view massive, three hundred sixty-degree paintings of historic battles. Architect Gabriel Davioud designed the structure to house these immersive visual experiences. The building later transformed into a skating rink and eventually a theater dedicated exclusively to contemporary plays, where writers are the primary focus of every production.
