The Theatre aux Mains Nues occupies a corner in the Saint-Blaise neighborhood behind a facade of weathered wood and glass. It functions as a specialized center for puppet arts, a tradition maintained here since nineteen seventy-seven. Alain Recoing founded the company, spending his career insisting that puppetry belongs on stage as a serious craft for adults as well as children. Inside, the small auditorium hosts ongoing training workshops and performances where strings and shadows tell stories that remain largely absent from traditional theater houses.
