Cimetière Pasteur

The Cimetière Pasteur sits behind a low stone wall, distinguished by a double row of mature lime trees that shade the main path. Established in eighteen eighty-five, this cemetery serves as the final resting place for many families who fueled the industrial growth of Bagnolet. Among the gravestones, you find the resting place of a local mayor, who, during the harsh winter of nineteen forty-five, insisted that the town’s limited coal supplies be distributed to the families of soldiers rather than municipal buildings.
