Cimetière Pasteur is the oldest cemetery in the city of Bagnolet. It was established as a replacement for an earlier burial ground located directly beside the church of Saint Leu Saint Gilles, which was officially closed by government decree in eighteen thirty-three to make way for the town's expansion.
