Parc Henri Barbusse

Parc Henri Barbusse in Pantin sits atop a landscape shaped by the city's industrial past. The ground here was formed by the extraction of gypsum, a mineral once vital to the construction trade that left behind distinct ridges known locally as the cliffs of Pantin. These slopes were later reclaimed from the old military servitude zone surrounding the nearby Fort of Romainville, turning land once defined by excavation and defense into a public space for the community.
