The glass-fronted structure at twelve rue Paul Hochart houses Lilas en Scène. It occupies a space once used for industrial metalwork, now repurposed as a creative laboratory for the performing arts. Founded in two thousand three, the center provides residency space for theater companies and dance troupes to develop new works away from the pressures of commercial production. Director Claude Bonin designed the facility to keep the echoes of the city out, creating a quiet environment focused entirely on the rehearsal process.
