Pantin station

Pantin station opened in 1864 as a crucial link on the railway lines connecting Paris to Strasbourg and Mulhouse. Its arrival transformed the area from a quiet agricultural zone into a bustling industrial powerhouse, as factories flocked to the site to take advantage of the immediate access to both rail transport and the nearby Canal de l'Ourcq. This infrastructure eventually drew significant industry to the town, including the massive Grands Moulins de Pantin flour mills, which defined the local skyline for generations.
